An oldie but goodie. You betta WACHAU

The following blog is another old blog I am bringing back from Cueva Bar's vault. Timewise is not synchronized. I wrote this blog right before summer about two years ago before the world turned upside down. Also, this post reminds me of the delicious Austrian wines I can get from Tami Wong.

Today I am sharing details about a new Austrian wine I feel very excited about.

Summer is upon us but San Diego lingers in a mix of all the other seasons. Isn't it so? Today it seemed as though the sun was coming out. The warm rays of the sun were quickly cooled with a spring-like breeze that made the feeling of being alive quite comfortable, almost as if I was flying above Domäne Wachau (WARNING: fasten your seat belts before clicking on DOMÄNE WACHAU) in Austria where one of the wines we're featuring this coming Saturday comes from. Check out these cool picks that I didn't take but are available on google when you search for Domäne Wachau.

Have you been to one of Cueva Bar's Wine Club wine tastings? Whether you're a member or not, click here to reserve your spot for this coming Saturday, June 8th at 3 PM before we sell out. The tasting costs only $5 and it's good for 4, 2 oz tastings of the wines on the picture below (scroll left).

For the month of June we're featuring the following:

Domaine Wachau Grüner Veltliner Federspiel 2017 from Austria, a Grenache Rosé from Kitá Winery out of Santa Ynez Valley, Stefan Bauer Zweigelt also from Austria, and Eira Dos Mouros Red Blend from Ribeiro Spain.

While you're reading this awesome blog,

I wanted to share with you that we are now carrying six California wines, three from San Diego County that includes Hatfield Creek Vineyard's Cueva Cuvee-a blend of Petit Syrah and Zinfandel, Vesper Vineyards Carignan, and Stehleon's Sangiovese. Come check out the small but mighty wine list I've put together and pair your wine with our world-inspired tapas but don't forget to check out what's on the Special's board!
